31 Weeks

I am now just over 31 weeks pregnant, only nine more weeks to go!  So far everything is going just the way it should, the baby is growing right on schedule and I am doing fine too.  He is moving quite a bit now, it is really funny to watch and see my stomach twitch when he kicks or moves around.

Though I have not made much progress on the nursery, I have gotten a few things done.  In August, when my parents came to visit, my dad painted the room.  It was blue and now it is a nice soft beige.

This gives you an idea of the new wall color. The pieces of paper taped to the wall are my way of trying to figure out where I want to put pictures, and shelves. 

 I modified the curtains I had already made for the room, so they would not draw so much attention; all I did was take off the pinkish-red strip at the bottom and it really changed the look of them in comparison to how they blended with the rest of the room.

I also made size dividers for the closet to help keep all those baby clothes organized!  They were super easy and fun to make, it took me just a couple of hours to make all of them from start to finish.  I found the tutorial for them here.

We are so excited for our little one to get here (I will be even more excited once the room is more put together and actually ready for a little person to live in there J), it will be so fun to meet him when he finally arrives!

On a side note, in case you haven’t been watching the national weather section of the news; on Monday it was 80 degrees here, yesterday probably high 60s, and today by 10am there was three inches of snow!  

                                                                                       

One Hunny Do Complete

This last week Josiah’s parents went on a cruise, which left us in charge of the place.  Josiah was left to come up with his own to do list for each day.  One of the things he put on his list for this week was adding dividers to a shelf in our closet.  This is something that I have wanted for a long time, so much so that in coupon book, he gave me for our anniversary, one of the items in it was to complete the dividers before the end of January.  I must say I am enjoying them rather much.  They have improved the organization of this area as much as I was hoping.

In the before and after pictures it may not seem as though there is really that much difference, but there is.  Before the dividers I had to reorganize my “piles” every so often as to prevent them from becoming one big mess.  Also, I had to hang my purses on a hook next to the door which was rather annoying considering they took up so much space, which interfered with easy access to the hanging garments.  Now the purses even have their own little cubby J which also makes it much easier to see all of them.  Now on to the next hunny do item J
